Summer Summary - Part IV

Here's the last installment in our summer adventures!

After our week in Gor, Gonzalo, Elsa and I headed to the beach for 15 days! It was the first year we have ever spent so much time there and it was really lovely. Relaxing and fun...and Elsa loved the sea!

Most days, we spent our mornings on the beach...

Alex, Anichi, and mini-Alex came for a weekend...little ones (and big ones) had fun...

Parents getting suckered into buying the annoying light-up musical toy...pretty sure it should come with a seizure warning. I think Alex and Anichi bought a light-up ball...much better choice. We "accidentally" left ours at the beach apartment...

We also went on a few field trips...and we brought our little Mowgli with us ;) (The river was fun...but dirty!!)

Summer Summary - Part III

Playing catch up....

When Elsa and I got back from the USA, we headed to Gor to hang out with Gonzalo's family. Lots of fun in a small town!

(Side note: We didn't know each kid had their own "plaza toy"...i.e. toy stroller, truck, etc...so Elsa just went around stealing borrowing the other kid's toys. Guess next year we'll know better and bring something to offer...)

Finger Painting

A few weeks ago I decided to get creative, buy some finger paints and try it with Elsa. Here's how it went down:

Much more interested in the picture of the dolphin in the cell phone ad than all that white paper and paints that I had so carefully set-up...

"I guess I'll stick the very tip of my finger in the paint"...yeah, no, not to into it. She then proceeded to whine and show me her "dirty" finger until I washed the paint off.

"Oh, here's the top to the paint...I know what to do with that...maybe then she'll get the hint..." (All those beautiful drawings would be mine.)

"I'm done with this..."

 

Better luck next time...we'll try that one again in a few months!
