Adela is 4 Months Old!

Again, I find myself way behind on posts but as I try to play catch-up, here is a photo of our little 4-month old! We think she's pretty cute!

Crafty & Creative

Elsa & Adela are two very lucky little girls! They have some crafty and creative family members (mostly Grandma & Grandpa Colin...but I did manage to contribute something!) While they were visiting, they were both busy - Grandma knitting away in the rocking chair and Grandpa Colin painting away at the kitchen table...

And....drum-roll please...I, after 4 years, FINISHED my first knitting project! A baby blanket that I started as a gift...and it turned out to be a gift for my second daughter! Who would have thought when I started it....

My next project might only take me 3 years....

3 Months Old!

It's hard to believe it has only been 3 months since Adela joined our family! Here are some of my favorites from the last few weeks...

Elsa the Queen

A conversation from the dinner table last night:

Elsa: "Daddy is the king, I am the queen and mommy is the princess."

Me: "Ok. But isn't mommy the queen and you are the princess?"

Elsa: "(Screaming) No! I don't want to be the princess! I want to be the queen!"

Uh oh...at least she knows what she wants.

Malaga for the day...

We took a fast and furious day trip to Malaga at the end of February with Grandma, Grandpa Colin, Elsa and Adela. Gonzalo had to work so we squeezed all five of us into the car...hard to do with two car seats! It seemed like it was going to be the "Malaga Madness" trip when we first set off on our journey (and almost aborted the mission with two crying kids in the back) but it turned out to be a really fun day! We managed to go on one of the few beautiful days in between many days of rain so we had lunch outside, went the the Picasso museum and then had coffee in front of the Cathedral. It was lovely!

Then off to the Picasso Museum...Adela slept and Elsa used her brochure to match each picture of a painting to the actual painting. And....after seeing all the art, there was a little silliness in the patio. 

We ended the day next to the cathedral for a little coffee, snack and some drawing...

And me attempting to multi-task...I think I've got my hands full!

February Fun!

I realize it's April but I really wanted to go back and document some of the fun we've had in the last few months! I started this post over a month ago....I think it's time to finally finish it!

February flew by but we had lots of fun! We got used to having Adela in our family and we enjoyed a long visit with Grandma and Grandpa Colin! They quickly joined our routines, took Elsa to school every morning and stayed at a hotel right around the corner. We also made time for walks around the city, a short day trip to Malaga and lots of playing at home. It was so nice to have them here - we enjoyed our time together and they were a big help. Toward the end of their visit, it felt like they just lived down the street. We already miss them!
